In this short demo, Apex takes an attendee from identification and identity verification through to completed check-in and instant badge printing, all at a single kiosk.

How the Apex check-in process works

The check-in journey begins when the attendee selects the identification document they want to use. In the demo, the attendee chooses a passport and places it on the kiosk’s integrated document scanner.

Apex scans attendee ID documents like passports and driving licenses and guides the attendee to the next stage of the process. The attendee is then prompted to look at the kiosk camera so their face can be matched with the photograph on the document.

Once the identity check is complete, the kiosk retrieves the corresponding attendee registration record. The attendee can review the information displayed on screen, confirm their check-in, and continue directly to badge printing.

The personalised event badge is printed immediately through the kiosk’s integrated printer. The attendee can then collect the badge and proceed into the event.

This creates a simple seven-step flow:

Select the QR code→ Scan the document→ Complete facial match → Retrieve attendee record → Confirm check-in → Print badge → Enter event
