That means our partners never have to worry about adding any other kind of hardware if they want to make the facial recognition check-in feature available to their attendees. Everything they need to make their event check-in processes seamless already exists within our kiosks.

At fielddrive, we believe in providing our partners and their attendees as many choices as possible. We want them to be able to craft their own experiences, based on their preferences, likes, dislikes, and reservations. That’s why, if an attendee doesn’t want to use facial recognition check-in, then they can simply opt-out during the registration process. Those attendees then have the option to either use QR code check-in for the event or our manual name lookup feature.

fielddrive kiosks are defined by their speed. We print fast and we scan fast. However, our facial recognition check-in tech takes it to the next level by allowing attendees to check into the event in about 9 seconds, which is 50% faster than other event check-in solutions and methods.

An attendee opts in and provides a suitable photo during registration. At the event, the kiosk compares the live image with the enrolled photo, confirms the attendee record, and continues the configured check-in or badge-printing workflow. QR scanning and manual lookup remain available as alternative paths.

With fielddrive facial recognition is an optional, consent-driven workflow. Attendees are given a clear opt-in during registration and an alternative check-in method if they do not consent.

The biometric data is pseudonymised, encrypted at rest and in transit, and stored separately from personally identifiable information.

The attendee can move to an alternative workflow such as QR-code scanning, manual name lookup, or assisted verification.

Scanned documents and biometric matches are never stored. Only the verification result is recorded for the configured identity-verification workflow. Organizers should review the applicable privacy documentation and event-specific processing terms.

Facial recognition can support identity-focused check-in for VIPs, speakers, staff, and secure event environments. Restricted-area permissions should be managed through the configured attendee record and access-control workflow rather than facial recognition alone.
